The hotel is beautiful (i especially liked the decor). the room and bathroom were very clean. i also received a complimentary drink at the hotel bar upon arrival. I could enjoy it whenever i wanted.
i was invited to book breakfast on my first morning. i confirmed the 8:30 am table at check-in. however, there were no tables available the following morning. i also found that a staff member tried to enter my room at 5:50 am on my second night. he was removing the safety latch through the door.

the minibar prices seemed rather high. the shower in my room had a glass door that was difficult to manage. i had to stand inside the bath to turn the taps on. also, some of the wood around the windows looked to be rotting.

The breakfast had great value, and the staff gave wonderful recommendations. The hotel itself was beautiful. It felt very comfortable. Check in had a really personal touch.
I booked a suite. On arrival, I was shown a standard room. I was told it was the exact same, certainly not a downgrade. Apparently, an 'house executive suite' is a normal room and a 'house suite' is very different. I felt it was misleading.

The location was good. staff members were friendly and helpful. complimentary coffee on arrival was a nice touch. i also appreciated the bathtub. It was a dream!
I spent two nights in this hotel, and the room was very small. getting from one side of the bed to the other meant shimmying sideways. using the sink meant hearing ten minutes of burping sounds from the drain. It was annoying. the stairs had carpet runners with numerous holes. It was a tripping hazard.
