i found a couple of things less than stellar. the room i had was a bit stuffy. it needed better ventilation.. the air felt stale. also, i was a little disappointed with the limited selection of toiletries. they seemed pretty basic for a hotel of this supposed caliber.

hameed and his team greeted me so warmly and efficiently. hameed understood my schedule and got me to my room fast. he ensured my room was ready for my return in a few days. he really is a credit to the hotel and a fantastic member of the reception team.

i find the music from the club on the 42nd floor was audible in my room above the 35th floor. it made sleeping a little challenging and i wish they could do something about it.

the hotel is very clean. i found the customer service perfect. staff coline was friendly at check-in. assem, the director of rooms, was attentive to our needs. kelum, the housekeeper , was polite. we dined at shang palace, the staff christene was attentive. the breakfast daily was awesome , i really enjoyed my stay.

i had a shocking lack of response when trying to book.

the hotel is close to the financial center metro station. it makes access easy. i booked connecting rooms. the rooms comfortably sleep two adults. there is a gym with equipment and an indoor squash court.

the half board package did not include any drinks. not even still water was included. i think at least still water should be included.
