“My boyfriend and I were so actually surprised with how great our stay was at New Beacon. We entered our room, which can only be described as a 1970s bamboo love den! It was easily the grooviest room in Shanghai for that price. The spacious bedroom had a desktop computer, and there was even a living area with a lime green couch. The glass wall displaying fake bamboo and tiny stuffed pandas added a unique touch. Plus, we enjoyed the convenience of two TVs!” view full review

“I loved the bathroom during my stay! The shower was nice and spacious, made for a refreshing experience after a long day. It reminded me of a personal spa moment right in my room. Having a separate shower and toilet had added comfort, and the amenities were well-stocked and replaced daily. Everything was super clean, made me feel right at home.” view full review

“One of my favorite features was the entertainment options. Our room had HBO, made for great late-night viewing. It was the only hotel I stayed at in China that had HBO! The addition of a desktop computer in the room was interesting, although it was in Chinese, but it added to the unique experience.” view full review
