Review summary

Egans House is a welcoming guesthouse conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walk to shops, bars, and restaurants, and about 20 minutes from the town center. Guests appreciate the clean and spacious rooms, some of which are family rooms with comfortable beds, and come well-equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. The location, though generally quiet, might mean that some guests with street-facing rooms occasionally notice some noise; however, many find the property offers excellent value for money, especially considering its proximity to Dublin city and easily accessible bus stops just a short walk away, connecting you to the center in under 20 minutes. There is also a lovely garden available for guests.

The room was small. it was also quite dated. the furniture looked like it had been there for decades and the bathroom felt cramped. The shower was tiny. i was also bothered by the noise at night. I could hear everything happening in the hallway. the walls seemed thin and this made it hard to sleep well

Acceptable experience

friendly staffperfect breakfastcar parkingthin walls
The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was also perfect. I found it a cheerful start to the day the location allowed easy access to the ferry early in the morning. It was also a walkable distance into the city.
The car parking situation was difficult. I had requested to book a car park in advance but did not hear back. This meant I needed to park on the street which required frequent top ups. The walls of the rooms were thin I could hear the guest next door using the bathroom.

The staff always looked available with patience. the rooms were quiet and pristine. I liked that very much. i will always recommend it to those who want to pass and stay in an authentic irish b&b.
the bathroom was the worst, and i think it needs more cleaning. when you open the door, it hits the toilet.

Decent Stay with Some Caveats

small roomdated bathroom
The room size was surprisingly small. I thought it would be bigger. There's barely space to move around, and I felt a bit cramped after a few nights. The bathroom too felt quite dated and small. Plus, the soundproofing isn't great as I heard my neighbors chatting at all hours.
