A tender seaside embrace

clean roomtea stationfriendly ownershort stay
The room was clean and organised and felt quite spacious! The complementary tea and coffee station was lovely after my long day traveling. It was very welcomed and well-stocked, which i appreciated. The location was ideal, a true blessing, placing me so near the beach, shops, and the bus station. It seemed like a dream. Jo and Dan, the guest house owners, were wonderfully friendly and helpful!
Check-in at 4:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM was like such a short stay! i wish i had more time in that enchanting place.
Location

comfortable stay

advantageous locationrecycling binlate check-in
i found the location advantageous because it was near the train station and high street. cleaning was done daily. there was a separate bin for recycling, a detail i appreciated. the breakfast i tried came nicely packaged.
check-in at 4 pm felt late, check-out at 10 am felt early. this limited the time available for relaxation. i wished for a bit more flexibility.
Location

the guesthouse is close to the train station, offering convenient transport. its proximity to the high street puts shops and restaurants within easy reach. the location also allows quick access to both the surfing school and sainsbury.
Rooms

The room had all necessary amenities. i also noticed towels were changed every two days. This supports environmental sustainability. the provision of tea, coffee and biscuits added a touch of comfort to the stay.

Excellent stay near the town centre

warm welcomeconvenient locationcozy roomthorough rundown
I stayed for a night while visiting family. The owner, Joanne, greeted me warmly and gave me a THOROUGH rundown of the room amenities. The heater was on, so the room felt immediately cozy. The location is convenient, only a short walk into town.
The water pressure in the shower wasn't as strong as I'd prefer (but it was perfectly adequate).
Service

Joanne checked in often and kept everything running SMOOTHLY. She offered helpful advice about local parking, which saved me money. Her friendliness really contributed to the positive atmosphere.
Rooms

The room included a ceiling fan, useful, given the warm weather. The provided tea and coffee facilities were useful. The bathroom sparkled with cleanliness, and fresh towels were supplied.
Dining

Breakfast was delivered directly to my room each morning. It included a variety of items (especially good were the pastries!). Dietary needs were readily accommodated.

joanne is a helpful host. she allowed me to leave my luggage after checkout so i could see more of the town. the accommodations suited me well. i had a good night's rest in a comfortable bed. the location is right next to downtown, very convenient. it's only a 20 minute walk to the surf beach.
we were placed on the third floor even though it wasn't busy. the carpet is filthy around the edges in the room. there is no regular plug in the bathroom. the internet worked intermittently.

The room i stayed in, the "room 7 double room sea view 2nd floor", was a bit of a letdown. the view wasn't as expansive as i had hoped (trees partially obstructed it). also, the towels felt quite thin. A little more plushness would have been welcome, (they felt a little scratchy, to be honest).

small sinkhigh dust levels
The room I stayed in had a sink that was ridiculously small , like it was designed for a dollhouse. Washing my face was like a comedic routine. Also , the dust situation was not ideal. I think some of it had formed its own ecosystem. I had to battle my allergies all weekend. It added a certain unexpected adventure , I suppose.
