helpful staffcomfortable beds
I found the staff very helpful, even carrying our bags upstairs. There's no lift, but that's ok. the bar was open most of the time and was comfortable. they had a good selection of games too, but i didnt play any. We loved the books! beds were comfortable.

the reception staff were professional during check-in and check-out. breakfast service staff were attentive. the room was clean, and the bed was large. the shower had strong pressure, and the temperature control was excellent. towels and bedding were fresh. quality furniture provided plenty of storage. breakfast was lovely!!!
the room i had was slightly small, i think it would benefit from a refurbishment.

the bedroom had dusty areas. damaged blinds were also there. the issues that i raised with the reception staffs went without remedy. i even had to force them to act.

the breakfast included many options. it was buffet style and offered cooked choices. i was pleased my gluten free toast was served separately. the hotel looked recently refurbished and was very clean.
the bedrooms could benefit from refurbishment as the main hotel areas have been updated.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast service was very efficient, with fresh food brought directly to the table. The hotel provided a useful list of local restaurants nearby. This helped with planning my evening meals. Parking was easy and free, a definite bonus.
The bar closed slightly earlier than advertised on one occasion.
