Good stay in Principe Real!

central locationnice amenitiesretro vibe
I appreciated the hotel's location near the botanical gardens and a park. The hotel occupies parts of two buildings with reception in the main one. The room had AMAZING amenities and a very nice décor. I especially loved the Marshall radio and the Smeg kettle.
The room was a bit different from the photos online, it was smaller than I expected.

mixed feelings here

nice decorationsupplier issuesstreet noise
the room decoration was okay and the location seemed pretty central.
finding toiletries proved impossible upon arrival because of supplier issues apparently. i had to find a supermarket myself after a long trip, which wasn't exactly my idea of a warm welcome. also, the room faced the street, and the noise made it really difficult to sleep, which wasn't helped by the lack of air conditioning.

a good stay in a stylish b&b

central locationfriendly stafffree roomssimple breakfast
The location suited me perfectly. It was central, yet quiet! staff were friendly and very helpful, especially with local recommendations. i was happy to see that they provided free rooms for jazz artists, it is a great touch. the breakfast was simple, but good. it was delivered straight to my room, which i appreciated.
The stairwell to my room lacked proper lighting. This made navigating it at night a little tricky, even though it was a small issue.
Dining
9/10
breakfast service delivered the meal directly to the room each morning. the breakfast menu included pastries, fresh scrambled eggs, fruits, juices, yogurt and some cucumbers, giving plenty of options for a good start to the day.

Charming B&B Experience

modern styleclassy touchesfantastic location
The room featured modern style with classy touches. A Roberts radio and a SMEG kettle were included. The location is fantastic with an easy walk to many restaurants and bars. The staff are charming.
The bathroom had a slight sewage smell travelling up through the drain pipes.
Dining
8/10
The buffet breakfast has many healthy options and great coffee. The hotel offers a reasonably priced mini bar with double doors open for a glass of wine. Breakfast gets crowded fast so they give you time slots when you have to have your breakfast.
Rooms
9/10
Every room is different. My room at the front looked out onto the little park. The bedroom had hand-painted walls for a unique aesthetic. Rooms include a walk-in closet in the marble bathroom.
Facilities

The hotel staff are very helpful and accommodating to all guests. Staff are super amazing and polite assisting with taxis and luggage. The staff will do everything that can be done in order to help guests with any issues.
Location

The hotel is located in a nice area with many bars and restaurants. It is a convenient and beautiful area in the city. The botanical gardens are right on the doorstep of this hotel for a quiet retreat.
