I adored the hotel. its location in the historic alfama district is fantastic. the rooftop bar was a highlight. I loved enjoying drinks while taking in the fine views of the water. the kind and professional staff.

The front desk staff were so cute. I found them helpful with directions. Our room had a private terrace. I enjoyed the wonderful sangrias while overlooking the river. The views were AMAZING!!!

The hotel is on a long cobblestone alley. Walking up to the street with luggage was difficult.

The location was excellent. It was near historic sites! the rooftop bar provided fine views where i enjoyed several evenings. breakfast was varied and satisfying with attentive service each morning. i also found the staff consistently helpful and friendly, readily assisting with directions.

the room size was adequate, though the limited storage space made it slightly challenging to manage luggage.

small room blocked view

The room i booked, a 'superior double or twin room view', was smaller than expected. storage space was minimal. the advertised view was often blocked by a massive cruise ship. It reminded me of living next to a floating wall. the breakfast buffet, while extensive, included some items that tasted bland. The pastries tasted like they had been sitting there for days.
