uncomfortable mattress wobbly bedhead

The location was convenient to the pier.

The bed mattress was old and not comfortable and the bedhead felt wobbly. It was not properly secured. I found rubbish on the floor and a drawer fell apart when I opened it. Towels were thin and stained.

the location IS convenient, being only a short walk to the beach.

the family room was not great. We found only ONE double plug for the entire room.

helpful friendly staff cigarette smoke smell

the staff was lovely and always ready to assist with any requests (which i appreciated).

the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, it was not a pleasant experience. the smell permeated everything. it made it difficult to relax and sleep comfortably, especially after a long day.

friendly staff generous drinks south pier location warm room

The staff are so friendly and cute. my room included generous drinks supplies. It was always warm. the hotel location is near the south pier tram stop, very useful for sightseeing. i felt completely at home .

the curtains were a bit outdated, but it was not a major issue

mould carpet scuttling noises

Our room was very cold when we arrived. There was no hot water available and no towels were provided initially. I could hear scuttling noises in the ceilings. Maybe it was rats and that scared my kids. i saw mould in the carpet.
