the staff were attentive to my needs i will give them that.

getting to the hotel with 96 stairs was quite a challenge i was not offered any assistance with my luggage also the air conditioning was a portable unit it struggled to cool the room and the exhaust pipe radiated heat back into the space defeating the purpose it was like a cover up for a more serious issue.

The provided information booklet offered helpful details. I also appreciated the staff storing my bag after checkout as it allowed me to explore the city further without inconvenience.

The plumbing made loud vibrating noises whenever water was used. The sound was noticeable from other rooms too. The old windows did not block sound effectively. The square below was noisy especially at night.

the hotel's location was superb, right in the heart of everything (i loved being so central!). the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. i really appreciated the delicious breakfast provided, and the little treats left in my room each day were a sweet touch.

the stairs to the top floor can be a bit challenging with luggage.

the hotel is located in the bairro alto area near largo do carmo, with access to many restaurants and important sites (the walking distance was perfect!). the hotel is also conveniently located near the metro for city travel.

the rooms feature nice amenities including welcome fruit, cookies, and other treats (i always love a personal touch!). the rooms were nice and neat with historic charm along with well-designed contemporary upgrades.
