Honestly, the rooms were a letdown, especially for the price i paid. i booked a double room and it felt cramped, not cozy. the bathroom needed a serious update. The grout was stained and the showerhead sputtered, not exactly what i expect for these rates. also, the noise level was bad. I could hear every conversation from the hallway and the room above, not very restful at all.

i felt the gym equipment could use a bit of updating. some machines seemed a little worn.

Wonderful Coastal Retreat

During my visit, the spa facilities were amazing. The Aqua Club Spa features five pools including a jacuzzi. I especially enjoyed the open-air sectionwith fine views of the cliffs and sea. The staff provided excellent service and frequently offered drinks from the bar.

The heated towel rail in my room only worked for one night of my entire stay.

I had a wonderful Sunday roast at the Ren Mor restaurant. The meal was delicious. The service was excellent (Sophie, our waitress, was attentive and friendly). I definitely recommend the roast (it was superb!).

The breakfast was REALLY good. I enjoyed the buffet a lot. There was a great selection of freshly cooked hot choices. Attentive staff helped me, but they were not overbearing.

The changes negatively impacted my experience. The terrace restaurant and the cocktail bar area are now 'Ugly Butterfly'. This dramatically increased the cost of dining. This was an experiential downgrade for me.

The cosy double rooms do have windows, but they overlook a small courtyard. Many rooms have been freshly renovated, providing some natural light from the upper levels of the hotel.
