The hotel offered a starter kit with milk, salt, and pepper. That was useful. Cairns Central Mall and a large supermarket were right next door. I found that convenient. I liked the pools. They were clean, and not many people were using them. The location made it easy to get around.

The noise in the morning was noticeable. Trucks came early. it disrupted sleep sometimes.

The esplanade is within a reasonable walk. I easily got there. Proximity to the shopping mall and grocery stores was excellent. I could access many amenities without needing transport.

the apartment had a well-equipped kitchenette. i appreciated the pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and appliances. the location was excellent, it was an easy walk to the supermarket, the esplanade, and the train station.

my room was dark and felt closed in. any noise reverberated through the block and i could not shut it off by closing windows.

A Stay Marred by Noise and Disappointing Service

unsympathetic reception

Work began early, between 6 and 8 a.m. weekdays. The sound insulation was inadequate. I asked to move rooms but the reception was unsympathetic and not helpful. I would have appreciated an effort to find a solution, or even a small discount considering the disturbance.

the location was acceptable for accessing nearby shops it did its job i guess

the noise each morning was ridiculous a rubbish truck made its presence known at 6 am sharp even on sundays i think someone enjoys waking people up additionally the soundproofing was nonexistent i could hear everything from the surrounding rooms it reminded me of i was part of their conversations whether i wanted to be or not

The studio apartment was well-equipped. I found everything i needed in the kitchen. it was very clean and quiet, we loved the big shower. the location is very good. It is just around the corner from the central shopping centre, and a ten-minute walk to the waterfront.

the signage around the pool area seemed a bit excessive. i think removing some signs telling guests what not to do could help everyone feel even more welcome
