luxurious stay in a charming hotel

ample spacehigh-quality productfriendly staffdark room
the junior suite offered ample space and felt luxurious. i liked the high-quality bath products (molton brown!) and the really good shower. the staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful . parking was available directly in front of the building, a detail i found very convenient.
the room looked somewhat dark, so applying makeup proved difficult without a magnified mirror.
Facilities
9/10
this hotel comprises several interconnected historic townhouses and features period details like stained-glass windows and wood paneling. corridors connect various sections, though navigating the layout might initially seem a bit confusing. the structure presents an interesting blend of old-world charm and functional hotel design.
Dining
8/10
breakfast provided a choice between a continental option and a cooked breakfast, catering to different preferences. the cooked breakfast included a full scottish, though i noticed some bacon pieces were slightly burnt (minor oversight!). the food was generally fine, with sufficient options to start the day.
Location
9/10
the hotel is situated slightly outside the central district, still reasonably accessible to the west end. some parking spaces are available. this location provides a quieter setting, removed from the bustle of the main city center.

The staff were helpful! They gave excellent care to our dog. It was a very nice thing! The rooms had attention to detail. Towelling robes were there. Slippers were there too. Very considerate!
My room was very noisy! Emergency vehicles kept me up. Road noise was very intrusive! there were no elevators to the high floors! It was annoying to carry luggage.
