Underwhelming Stay
marked headboard dust ball
I found the room rather disappointing. The headboard was noticeably marked. The cupboard doors lacked soft closures (resulting in quite a noise each time they shut). I also spotted a large dust ball hanging under the sink, hard to miss from the shower.

Excellent West End Stay
convenient location helpful staff nice breakfast
The hotel's location near the gardens proved very convenient. The staff was helpful with directions. The included breakfast was a nice start to the day. The room allowed me to store my luggage after check out.
The room lacked bottled water. I had to order from room service.
Dining

The breakfast buffet had a local flavor, and there was plenty to choose from! I sampled the haggis. The dining area was clean, and the staff kept it stocked.

poor soundproofing dated decor
i stayed for a few nights and i wasn't completely satisfied. the soundproofing was terrible. i could hear everything from the street outside. the room felt quite dated, and the decor seemed old and tired. the parking situation was not ideal too, it was across the road and often full.
The location is quite convenient.. close to the university. The subway station nearby made it easy to reach the main shopping district. Lots of cafes are in the vicinity.
The noise from traffic was constant through the night. It was impossible to adjust the shower to the right temperature. Breakfast felt rushed and crowded.
Sonma provided helpful assistance during check-in. The hotel's location offers easy access to various dining and drinking options. The room was clean upon arrival and well kept each day of my stay. The hotel is located near a subway station allowing convenient travel to different parts of the city.
I noticed some minor wear and tear
