Review summary

Powered by AI
Jesmond Dene House is known for its spacious and clean rooms, often featuring very nice private views onto the gardens. The hotel's location is appreciated, being close to Jesmond Dene itself and a metro station for easy access to the city. Breakfast is frequently described as excellent, particularly when enjoyed in the orangery, and the dinner and cocktail menu receive positive comments too; however, a few guests have experienced slower service at the bar or when sitting outside. The beautiful setting and proximity to walking trails and parks also make it a popular choice for those seeking relaxation and outdoor activities.

unremarkable room slow service
The room i got, a classic double room, was nothing to write home about. i mean , it was clean , but it lacked any real charm. the service felt stretched thin. I waited an eternity for my coffee order one afternoon. it seems they prioritize events over individual guests , and that's a shame.

Really good Stay

beautiful room comfortable bed good breakfast
I was grateful for the beautiful room, it was comfortable. Breakfast in the breakfast room was a delight, and the staff were eager to assist me. Lunch on the terrace was fantastic. I appreciate the staff's effort in delivering everything perfectly during the day and night sessions.
The hotel added a service charge to my bill for an order. I had to pick the drinks myself, it felt a bit inconvenient.
