the staff was friendly, acceptable.
The tap in my room made a popping noise after each use. This happened even when someone in the next room used water. It was quite annoying and disruptive to my sleep, twice.

I found an overwhelming smell of old cigarettes upon arrival which was off-putting. The stairs felt narrow. Breakfast was very basic a disappointment really

the breakfast i had was disappointing. they only offered a full english breakfast or toast with eggs. there was no yoghurt or fruit available. the toiletries provided were very minimal. the soap was tiny and i only got a small shampoo sample.

i appreciated the friendly staff. tanya at reception was super nice and helpful. the location is not too far from the town center. the breakfast included real english options with poached, boiled, or fried eggs or scrambled eggs. tea, coffee, and juice were available too.
i noticed limited parking at the hotel. it was a bit inconvenient at times.

the hotel staff demonstrated excellent service by advising on local restaurants. they also booked taxis promptly and efficiently when i needed one. i think the team showed dedication to guest satisfaction.
