What Previous Guests Had to Say
Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Big Blue Hotel is often praised for its spacious and well-maintained bedrooms, some offering fantastic views directly overlooking the park and rollercoasters; some guests have also enjoyed sea view upgrades. Family rooms are appreciated for their layout with separated bunk bed areas for kids. The hotel's location is a major draw, being next to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the train station, with a tram stop also conveniently nearby; however, some found the double rooms cramped with more than two people and luggage. Guests also appreciate the convenient access to the adjacent amusement park, and some have even benefited from a special hotel-station stop on the park railway in the evenings.

somewhat disappointing experience

shower pressuredust problem
the room looked clean initially, but closer inspection revealed issues. i found dust in corners and hairs in the bathroom. the shower pressure was also very weak. it barely trickled out. this. i hoped for a more thorough cleaning and better water pressure for the price i paid.

The family room suited our needs perfectly. A real highlight was the bunk beds. the kids each had their own tv and playstation. the vip entrance to pleasure beach was just steps away. it made getting into the park convenient!
i noticed the absence of maid service during our two-day trip. i also missed having bottled water or a fridge. these are little things i'd expect from a hotel with a 4-star rating.
